Our Background

We launched Renovate 2 Elevate in 2020 as a division of Greenrock Building Pty Ltd. Greenrock was founded in 2007 and continues today to specialise in insurance repair work throughout QLD. Since 2011, we have completed over 600 renovations and repairs. Through this work we developed a trade database of over 500 trades throughout QLD. We carry out repairs from Bundaberg down to Stanthorpe and as far west as Toowoomba.

Our Why

Through conversations with various people, we discovered we are very comfortable with a process others find very stressful. We also realized our experience gives us insight into what renovations create a “wow” factor and what just creates an “ok” factor. So in early 2020, we decided to use our experience to help people plan and manage their renovations through renovation consultancy.

It gives us great satisfaction to share what we have learned through years in the industry and help people complete their renovation goals with as little stress as possible.

Our Where

Our main office is on the Sunshine Coast and we especially love to help people locally. For renovation consultancy we’re happy to travel as far south as Brisbane and as far North as Gympie. If you’re outside these areas please feel free to send us a message and we can see if we can help you out.

Michael (TOM) Johnston

Tom is an HIA award winning builder with 25 years in the building industry. In 2007 he launched Greenrock Building, specializing in insurance repair works.

Tom was on the tools for many years giving him first hand knowledge of appropriate repair methods. As a member of the QBCC panel of builders specialising in QBCC Home Warranty repairs, he has a thorough understanding of the Building and Construction Code. Tom conducts site visits, prepares reports and supervises trades, estimators and repair coordinators.

Tom’s open license allows him to complete both residential and commercial builds in both QLD and New South Wales.

Liisa Hirvonen Johnston

Liisa helped launch Greenrock in 2007 and continues to specialise in contract administration and trade management. She implemented the company’s Quality and WPH&S policies and procedures and facilitated the company’s ISO accreditation in these areas. She oversees the day to day administration of the company.

With many years experience in the building industry, Liisa is pleased to help people plan and manage their renovations. She looks forward to bringing practical and effective ideas to property owners and high quality renovations into homes here on the Sunshine Coast.
